When approaching new water, we often rush to the first honey hole we see without taking a minute to observe our surroundings.
Before stepping into the water, take a moment to soak in your environment. Are there low-hanging branches in your casting lane, what types of bugs are in and around the water that you’re fishing?
These things are often overlooked but if we take a minute to see what’s around us, we’ll have a better experience as a whole on the water.
Good luck & tight lines!
